Hi Dan,
The resistor is in the Chroma lead not the Luma so it only affects the
colour part of the signal. I have tried it with and without the resistor
and
I preferred the results with it.

The problem with the 100ohm resistor is that it can severely decrease
the
video level.
Take into consideration that the input impendance is around 75ohm, so
an
100ohm resistor can decrease the signal more than two times.
