The problem with the 100ohm resistor is that it can severely decrease the video level.
Take into consideration that the input impendance is around 75ohm, so an 100ohm resistor can decrease the signal more than two times.

  The same method can be used to feed a composite signal into an S-

  Although the Capacitor/Resistor method will give a colour picture
  into an S-Video input there will be all sorts of patterning or
  softening of the picture and it will be inferior to the original
  Composite signal.

  The only justifiable reason for doing passive Composite to S-Video
  conversion is if you only have an S-Video input available and the
  source is composite only.
