Hi Keith ....the original one,

It's an RF unit on 433Mhz, my idea being I could control the thing from
the lounge, through the wall.

What I'll do tomorrow is switch everything off and try it agin to see if
that makes any difference, if it does, switch things on till the range
drops. It's all I can think of at the moment.

Keith

Is it an IR remote or RF ?

If its IR, do you have flourescent lights in the garage?

They could have high frequency ballasts if they are modern units. These
tend to operate at around 38kHz just where IR remotes work. Result...IR
remoted DONT work :-(

We had a Barco projector at work that was uncontrollable if the lights
were on!

My ATI remote wonder arrived today, so I connected it up to my machine
in the garage and managed to get a totally non impressive  range of 6",
and then it didn't control it all the time, not too chuffed! So I've
tried in on my other machine in the house and can get a range of 15ft at
least, so at least I know it works ok.

So any ideas on why the range in the garage is pants. The only
electrical things in there are the PC, a monitor and a freezer, would
this interfere, if not any suggestions.

Thanks,

Keith
