RE: Ripping Speed
Daniel,
I have yet to find a laptop with an acceptable ripping speed. I find
that my desktops rip fine.
Dunno what's different about the laptop drives, though.
Regards,
Mark

Subject: [ukha_d] Ripping Speed
Whilst we are on the subject of MP3 players...
I started (again) ripping my CDs to MP3 at the weekend, I decided to
set
up my new laptop with Exact Audio Copy using Lame.exe and was then
appauled by the speed of ripping... it was ripping at 0.1x to 0.3x...
- does anyone have any recommendations of what I might change to
improve this speed? / what causes the process to be so slow..
Regards
Daniel
