That's odd, you shouldn't need to do that on a standard install of
LWP.  Ill

I had to add the following line to the new perl script

use  URI::URL;

I added it under the other 'use' commands 

use Socket;
use LWP::UserAgent;

Other than that, it actually appears to be doing something :D
