Tivo IR emitters with other HA controller?

anyone know if the Tivo-supplied IR wands should/will work with other HA
controllers?

I'm probably going to replace my Tivo wand with an RF2Link from PACELink,
so 
the dual-wand emitter will be surplus to requirements. Rather than waste
it, 
if I can, I'll use it elsewhere connected to my Ocelot SECU16IR
module...
