Difference between CM12U and CM11a

Hi
I wonder if anyone can tell me the difference between these X10
devices: CM12U and CM11a.
I have a CM12U which I bought as a HomeSeer bundle from Let's
Automate. The Nirvis documentation for Slink-e refers to a CM11a in
it's documentation for X10 control, and I was wondering if the CM12U
can be substituted. Is the CM11 a US version and CM12U for UK?
This is all in an effort to implement a new software I just got:
MainLobby Pro which is pretty cool. It has the best looking screens
I have seen and is a very elegant answer to my quest for a simple
but better looking replacement for a Crestron type system using a pc
with Slink-e. I am testing it all out using a small sony notebook
over a wireless lan, but wil eventually put in a fixed touch monitor
and/or a Viewsonic air panel.
So far I have it working with slink-e with DCOM over a wireless lan
and it works great!! I have got it to manage the Tivo, the receiver
and more when I get to grips with Girder!! That works with MainLobby
too.
Any input / advice would be most appreciated.
