Subject: [ukha_d] OT: PC problem that is driving me mad!
I've got a problem that is driving me mad!
It could be related to a faulty SCSI terminator but then again..
On an intermittent basis (more than 1x per day) my PC totally freezes -
no blue screen - the desktop freezes and the HD light (connected to an
Adaptec U160 SCSI card) stays permanently lit. I've got two drives
connected (both Maxtor Atlas 10K IIIs), none of which show errors.
The XP error log looks fine, I've tried changing the cable, and
disconnecting one of the drives.
I'm not 100% sure, but don't think it is a software issue as I've
recently rebuilt the Hard disk
Short of building a duplicate PC and swapping out all the components
I'm
at a loss as to how to proceed.
Tim.
