you just need to be able to send it a "magic packet", which I
believe is a
packet where the data portion contains 16 repetitions of the MAC address of
the card you want to wake...

ISTR there used to be a tool on the AMD website which you could run with
the
MAC as an argument on the command line....

Sorry for being a bit vague, but these are all distant memories...


Incidentally, I just turned off all the "wake on ..." features on
one of my
machines, as it prevented the machine from ever shtting down! - I thought I
had a faulty ATX PSU, but having bought and fitted a new one (not bad deal
at M***lins BTW... - 450W dual fan, variable fan speed, for £29), the
problem still remained. Having disabled all the wake features it now shuts
off properly, but I don't know (or care!) which wake feature was causing
the
problem...
