I have 256MB RAM, of which 70MB is currently used as a RAM disk. In
case you didn't realise, I'm running Linux on this box - booting
windows shouldn't be insurmountable, but would almost certainly need
a network share in order to persist stuff like the registry.

If there's enough interest, I can make the Linux build I'm using
available as a server-bootable image.

In my case it's a mix - the vast majority is held in RAM, but there's
also a network share mounted to provide access to less frequently
used binaries.

Not come across RPL computers before?
It's an interesting that memory and disk technology/prices have
evolved to the point that it's now cost effective and feasible to run
desktop tasks on a ramdisk-only machine...
