Thanks all for your help on this, some good stuff to try.

I can telnet into the TiVo and I have tried the "http_get -T 0 -C 0 -D
/var/hack -U http://199.240.141.102:80/tivoweb-tcl-1.9.4.tar.gz"
but the connection times out.

Can I change the "http://199.240.141.102:80/tivoweb-tcl-1.9.4.tar.gz"
to point to my C:\? as I already have the file.

I did once manage to see the directory from IE but it only worked once
otherwise I could just paste it in the required directory then try the next
bit....

Brian,

The easiest way to get TivoWeb onto your Tivo is to download it
directly
to the Tivo (assuming your Tivo is setup to connect to the internet
through your LAN)

>from
telnet to Tivo

>from
http_get -T 0 -C 0 -D /var/hack -U 
http://199.240.141.102:80/tivoweb-tcl-1.9.4.tar.gz

The readme at http://tivo.lightn.org/README
covers this, then unpacking
and starting.
