"Combined systems" were introduced back in the 70s as
brininging
together what had been seen as separate technologies - recorded music
and radio. Back in the 60s, radio was seen, mainstream, as very
different from recorded music. The fact that we now see them as
"the
same thing - sound" suggests that the convergence of these
technologies
has been complete.

How about a sportsman's bet that, within 3 years, sales of converged
devices will overtake sales of standalone DVD players.
