Re: Windows XP Media Center Edition Review

hmmm I dunno about MCE, I was looking forward to seeing what functionality
they had provided, but after reading that review, I feel very disappointed,
In current form it doesn't compare at all well with the Current Tivo (on PVR
only) Things like season pass priorities are NOT available if there is a
conflict it'll chose whichever you setup first !. Not good

CPU utilisation was strangely high for a hardware based encoder, so any
thoughs of being able to use the PC for other things is a non starter. The
review machine crashed more than a few times, which for a machine trying to
be a PVR is unforgivable. With Tivo and im sure Sky+ it really is set and
forget, it WILL just run and record without intervention.

I have serious doubts on the usability of MCE now, unless they bring out a
cut down PC (in STB form) JUST for running MCE and nothing else it is NOT
gonna be usable.

VERY VERY disappointed....

what did others think?
