Don't dismiss the WAP option out of hand. I get half a dozen pages of 
HA related info into a 3K WAP card-stack (page), so cost isn't a huge 
factor (you'd get a couple of hundred downloads or so on the most 
measly inclusive tarrif). WAP is surprisingly usable on a large 
screen mobile, and nicely responsive over GPRS.

You can find a simple xAP based WAP server (for both Win & Lin) on my
site - there's a new version just round the corner which includes 
some sample WAP pages and improved error handling.
