I havent dropped my Pronto yet (well not into coffee anyway) but whilst
in France last year for Le Mans I did manage to spill beer all over the
Sky Digibox. Which promptly packed up 3 hours before England Kick-off
the next morning.

I hadn't lugged a generator and satellite dish over to a French Campsite
for nothing so we stripped it totally, washed everything in copious
quantities of WD40 (I sacrificed the tooth brush for a thorough clean)
then left to dry in the sun for 30 mins and reassembled. Its still
working now :-D.

Subject: [ukha_d] Pronto question (and TM13 question)

Hi folks,
My Pronto replaced 6 remotes plus gave me X10 control from in front of
TV... then 'disaster' struck.   The wife decided it needed swimming
lessons and dropped a cup of coffee on it.  I'm back to the six remotes
and 'where have the amp buttons gone' scenarios.

Leaving its new odour aside its almost dead, the buttons down the right
side works and thats all.  Anybody give some helpful advice on the
following please.

1: Can I take it apart to give it a clean out in case the touchscreen is
'gummed up', and if so how.  I found two screws in the battery case but
nothing at the other end.

2: I've tried reset but that doesnt help.

3: Anyone know of any options on a refurb

4: When is the 3000 going to be available? (wishful thinking there).

Any other suggestions?

As to the TM13, has anyboy implemented these? I have a TM12 that is
going in the bin soon, it alone and its lack of reliability has turned
one coffee drinking member of the family off home automation.  Is the
TM13 any more reliable, my MS13 is lonely.

regards, robin
