RE: DSL BT buisness 500

Keith,

1: In late November, BT blocked port 25 for those with domestic service
and dynamic IP addresses. Customers with static addresses, or business
services were not affected.

2: BT's performance, as measured as the average of customer-provided
data at the independent www.adslguide.org.uk declined every month from
Jul 2002 to Oct 2002. In November, however, performance climbed, and the
increase continued in December. The statistics are:

Month         Upstream Change      Downstream      Change
Dec 2002 409Kbps       +20Kbps       223Kbps       +17Kbps
Nov 2002 389Kbps       +8kbps       206Kbps       +11Kbps
Oct 2002 381Kbps       -7Kbps       195Kbps       -11Kbps
Sep 2002 388Kbps       -18Kbps       206Kbps       -5Kbps
Aug 2002 406Kbps       -15Kbps       211Kbps       -1Kbps
Jul 2002 421Kbps       N/A             212Kbps       N/A

However, BTOpenworld is still ranked equal 7th with PIPEX, and about 10%
slower than the fastest.

Regards,

Mark
