I am also going down the GPRS/Servlet route with the 7650 and J2ME. However resorting to C on Symbian could gain access to BlueTooth.

      Jason,

Ive been playing with j2me on a 7650 recently.  As far as I am aware you
cannot access the bluetooth functionality from the sandbox hence this might
not be an option.  Check http://www.forum.nokia.com for more details.  The
option Ive chosen is the use of gprs from the phone to home via an adsl line
and a servlet engine.  There are some good documents on the nokia forum
      detailing this type of approach.

      thanks

      Afternoon,

Just in the process of updating my mobile and as I am also starting to
plan and put in the some home automation goodies. I was thinking about
the possibility of using J2ME and bluetooth as a controller to talk to
      my home automation server.

Just wondered if anyone else has played this?

      Cheers,
      Jason
