RE: Projector Options

I have connected my DVD to the VCR port on our tivo ?

This means I can use the tivo as a remote AV selector and even watch
DVD's upstairs (via aerial only)

Give it a try

Hello all,

We have finally decided after remeasuring the lounge that we are going
to get a projector for DVD and Sport!!!!!

We have decided to get a 69" Drapa Luma Manual Screen and I am going t= o
mount the projector from the ceiling with a home made shelf.

We have decided to get a Sanyo PLV-Z1 projector which seems to get all
of the good reviews and costs about =A31300 inc VAT.

The PJ has the following inputs

Comonent Video
S-Video
RGB from Scart and VGA are shared on one port
Composite

I am planning to connect up in onw of 2 ways

New Limit DVD player from RicherSounds with Comp video out into Comp
Video port.

Tvio via RGB-S_Video converter which now has RGB pass through

Leaving the VGA for PC when I need.

OR

DVD The same

Tivo through RGB SCART splitter to TV and PJ (does anyone know of a good SCART splitter or IR controlled Switch box?) VGA port would be used to
so computer.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on all of this.

Last question

How far from the ceiling do people place their projectors and how far
down does the top of the screen start?

Cheers

Ben
