Projectors (and other kit) which are sold in Far Eastern or US markets
are likely to support widescreen switching on Svideo via a DC offset on
the chroma pin. My Panasonic plasma does, but I know for example that
their WS LCD TV does not. Likewise you should be able to find source
components (and distro amps) that support the standard too.
