A DVD player

A DVD drive of the quality of our P3 800 PC that we use
at the moment

Exactly what was said on the tin. A DVD player

Beacuse the quality is pants, to put it politely.
The ghosting is worse than we get on our bedroom TV,
with a loop ariel, which is, quite simply appalling.

It is difficult to abuse the distance selling rules as things like
consumables, and software is exempt.

This is a piece of consumer electronics, and we do not like it at
all, the quality is appalling. If it is a duff unit, fair enough,
but I do not want it, I would like my money refunded, in compliance
with the law. I doubt there are many people who could afford to
just take the hit of a ?65 piece of electronics just to keep someone
else in business. I am sure I sound a little bitter, but we have just
had to spend far too much money out of our own pockets recently to
return faulty equipment from a whole host of suppliers.
It gets incedibly frustrating. This particular piece of equipment
is not faulty as such, it is just not what I was expecting, and
as such, I am entitled to a refund.
