I've looked at live TV, DVD, you name it - response time just isn't an
issue for modern LCD panels. These are starting to trickle onto the
market now and will become more common 2003/2004 as >32" LCD
facilities
ramp-up.
It's going to be an interesting battle between Plasma and LCD, and the
peak will probably be in 2004/2005. Given the current situation I
foresee LCD winning, but plasma is improving regards burn-in and life.
Anyway, the good thing is that CRT is dying. It's totally dead for TV in
certain territories so it's a bit of a shock when you come back to the
UK, wander into Comet/Currys/etc. and see all those "fat screen"
CRTs
sat there.
