Spotted the debate going on about the pros and cons of plasmas over
LCDs. Thought I'd jump on it.

LCDs, like the ones all laptops have, are much better displays than
plasmas. They use less power, are easier to look at and have a clearer
picture.

However, LCDs are restricted by size which is where plasmas have a
massive advantage. However, this is all about to change. First off,
Philips have created a technology that allows the joing of many smaller LCD panels to make them appear as one. Very smart indeed. These new
bigger LCD panels should be hitting the stores some time this year.

Second, OLED displays will begin to take off. Currently in their
infancy, eventually they will replace both LCD and plasma as the
preferred display option. But this is over 6 years away.

So there you go. Feel free to disagree/agree with me.
