I expect so.  I've never used long cables with a KVM, but the cheap
monitor switch I have is pretty poor.

Do you mean you're going to have a monitor, keyboard and mouse on a
desk somewhere and the switch in the server room?  If you plan to
have a PC with your monitor, keyboard and mouse, I'd suggest you
locate the switch with the monitor, as you'll have half the length of
cable for the local machine.

Does it really need to be touchscreen?  It's a lot more for that,
although I have a 15" touchscreen CRT that I swapped for a CD-RW
drive.
