Have you got a UK source for Video Essentials?

(Assuming that that IS the Joe Kane thing)

I'm sure you're right that they are pretty close BUT what he's told you doe= sn't mean calibrated (it never ceases to amaze me how little these guys kno= w). It takes no more than five minutes with Video Essentials to calibrate a= plasma, and I can actually give you the settings which certainly for the v= ersion 3 and 4 Panasonics will be very close in most situations, I haven't = tried it on the 5 series panels but according to Panasonic UK they should b= e the same.

Under the "normal" setting

Contrast -6
Brightness 1
Colour 2
Tint 0
Sharpness -2

That is with an Arcam DV-88 player with the black level setting at 0 IRE (p= ass pluge on for calibration purposes).
