How about Tivo?  That'd be a nice interface to your DVDs, but you'd
have to play each one in one-by-one.  Alternatively, there's freevo
(http://freevo.sourceforge.net), which tries to emulate Tivo (plus
audio/video management) on a PC.  Of course, using something like
daemon tools may be an option if you want to keep the menus.
