If this all YAC does is relay Caller ID info/arbitrary text to
multiple receivers at the same time, then it's pretty much redundant -
xAP has that same functionality today, with the only bit missing
being the connectivity with ACE. In the case of the xAP Tivo display
software, it's able to display information from any number of
sources, caller id being just one of those.
To give you more of an idea of the kind of flexibility you get, the
CID info can also be intercepted at the same time by a xAP SMS sender
and xAP web/wap cache - so you can be notified of missed calls when
you are out via SMS (or e-mail if you prefer, with preferences set
via a simple GUI), and also review the last n calls via the web or
via a wap browser. Of course you don't want the SMS notifications
when you are at home, but the xAP comfort interface takes care of
that.

xAP does this today too... You can find the xAP WM918 interface on my
website. I use the outside weather as one of the influencing factors
in controlling my heating (together with occupancy information and
internal temperature data collected from Quasar temp sensors). All
the moving parts are inter-connected with xAP.

This stuff isn't nicely packaged and documented yet, but it is
getting to the point where the number of components that talk xAP
have critical mass and you can create very powerful, very flexible
control scenarios without having to get your hands (too) dirty.
