Basically and essentially, it's a simple CLID program but it does have a
couple of very neat features, like the TiVo support for CLID out the
box. The other nice thing is the text send, which allows a string of any
test to any listener or client on the LAN.

Now it is supported by ACE and there is the plug-in for the SliMP3 as
well so the slims, TiVo and any LAN PC all display any message sent from
the YAC server. Or now, from HomeVision through ACE!

Reading through the xAP stuff it would be nice to also send stuff from
the WM918 in the shape of xAP, like temperature warnings or other
extreme alarms sent by the software. It may also prove useful to be able
to display on the slims various bits of info from other sources, perhaps
not for me personally, but I'm sure others could find it useful.

So, simply I can send text messages to any device that supports YAC.

K.
