Re: 600W Light dimmer with touch and infrared control, presence simulator

Hi,

The led is bright enough to see the switch in the dark.
It is about 1cm maximum (less than the majority of standard wall switches) = and looks great.
There is not any metallic part outside, the touch sensor is inside the plas= tic cap.

They are not all the models available on that page, but is the only one I c= an found on the net.
Mine seems to be made in Poland.
There is only this information available on the box:
UNIVEX S.A.
POLSKA 31-553 Krakow ul. Fabryczna 20a
tel. (+48 12) 13 55 55 fax: (+48 12 ) 13 82 50
e-mail: univex@xxxxxxx
The site www.univex.com.pl seems not to be available.

I have the model S3Z6 (S3 series, Z means with presence simulator and 6 mea= ns 600W).

  Dan,

Just looking at that website, the first one states 60w - 400w???
The LED is on even when switched off? How bright? Enough to see wher= e the
  switch is in the dark?

Also (sorry about the questions) how thick is it, the bit that is pr= oud of
  the wall?

  Cheers

  Neil

  Hi Ian,

No.. no need for neutral wire... here are not available for wall swi= tches
too. It requires only 2 wire, as the original mecanical wall switch.= I have
use it now for several days using a halogen load of 750W and it work= s great.
Do not forget that the model is for 600W. It has a small LED too, wh= ich is
  on all the time.

  BR,
  Dan

    Hi Dan

Do these units need a neutral wire. In the UK most of us= don't have these
    accessible - regrettably.

    Thanks

    Ian

But what about mains halogen? Most you have = to halve the wattage to
  apply
    to
mains halogen so that would only be 200watts= or 4 lights :(

      I use the 700watt ones from TLC-Direct

      Hi all,

I have found in a local Bricostore a very ni= ce wall light dimmer made by
Univex in Czeck Republic. You can see it her= e:
      http://www.univex.cz/Sortiment.htm#_Stmivace_rady= _CLASS_1 (the first
  one,
model  S3Z6). The web page is in Czeck = language, but you can see the
      picture.

It has a lot of features:
      - max. power 600W
      - slow start
      - optical and acustical signal (for operatio= n mode)
      - ON/OFF by short touch
      - DIM/BRI by long touch
      - a switch for presence simulation (when is = dark, the switch starts and
      stops at random intervals)
      - auto shut off after 12h
      - you can use any infrared remote control to= start/stop/dim the light.

It works like a charm and the price was arou= nd 30EURO.
I will include a special function in the nex= t version of the Infrared
    Remote
      Manager for this device.

      It is really cool.

They are several versions (400W/600W with/wi= thout prersence simulation).

It has won the Silver Medal at the 42nd Worl= d Exhibition of Invention,
Research and Industrial Innovation in Brusse= lls

      Best regards,
      Dan
