Re: Whole House Audio

One thing my wife complains is that she cannot listen to many
local radio stations (which only broadcast fm), and
other "conventional" audio sources (does anybody still use a-tapes?).
We're working on matching the Exstreamer with an "Instreamer" which
takes audio and realtime-encodes to mp3/ethernet to solve that
problem. Another thing we have seen frequently as a request (not
really adressed well yet in the market) is the "multi-room"
synchronisation, that you can listen to the "same" audio in multiple
zones. In Exstreamer we added a sync mode to solve this (sync to
another exstreamer).
What I would really like to have is an (xAP based?) control interface
at the wall with IR receiver, light "switch" and a few audio
controls/display. not too fancy, otherwise my mother-in-law will
never visit again after listening for hours to hardrock (in her
guestroom, thanks to my hacking son :-). such a panel must (imho)
have less controls, but use them effectively.
