OK ... Electronic dimmable transformers...

Dimmable transformers are designed assuming that they will be controlled
by the good old "rotary" dimmers which simply reduce the voltage
going
into the dimmer and hence the output.

LD11's (and other electronic dimmers) work differently in that they
rapidly turn the output on and off for a portion of the mains waveform,
the on duration being proportional to the brightness of illumination
required.

Now, *MOST* electronic transformers seem not to mind this at all but
some will just sit there and buzz loudly (I haven't yet come across any
that do this myself). Mode and IBL transformers are specifically
designed to be "electronic dimmer friendly" and as such you can
be
certain that they will work but generally you shouldn't have a problem
with any dimmable transformers ... At least that's my experience!
