conduit and not allowed to touch the insulation. I assume that this
is because of potential heat build up in the cable causing the
JABSQUEEZE to melt ? If so I'm very wary of fitting halogen recessed
lights into it. Maybe I need to build small "boxes" into the
ceiling at
each light position ?
I believe this is because, for expanded foam polystyrene products, contact
with PVC material causes the oils to leach out of the PVC - you see the
effect when VCR's/DVD players/etc come packed with foam polystyrene ends
and
the mains cable has been in contact with them for a couple of months whilst
it sits on the shelf. Imagine that over a couple of years... Think
extended contact makes the insulation brittle..??
