Sorry should read:

I would still add switches though so you have manual control, the beauty
of c-bus is those switches will **know** the status of the light at all
times.

Getting late and still working :-(

Hi Umar

I know your going to expect me to say this, but..........

If you want reliable detection and no delay between detection and lights
on then Clipsal make two excellent PIR detectors that work on the C-bus
network. I would still add switches though so you have manual control,
the beauty of c-bus is those switches will no the status of the light at
all times.

I have seen both of these in action and work very well.

5751L	Indoor Occupancy Sensor, 50.3mm Slim Mounting (This unit is not
overly 'pretty' but works very well. Clipsal have them in the toilets in
their Head Office :-))

5753L	Indoor Occupancy Sensor, 360 deg (This one is a GREAT unit,
mounts into the ceiling (or wall) like a down lighter, unobtrusive, 360
field of detection. The best use of these I've seen is in a staircase
where they detect the person walking up the stairs and switch a load as
you go, v.nice. And if you do this you can claim celeb status as its
what Jamie Oliver has in his production Co. offices in London!)

Rob Mouser ----------- hob nobber of the celebs (Not really, but he did
cook me breakfast, result!)

is it advisable to have PIR only control of lights, or would switches in
addition be advisable?

Also anyone recommend a PIR sensor for control of low voltage bathroom
lights?

TIA

Umar
