Indeed, as Chris points out, it depends whether or not the PC
currently attached to the satellite does the "spoofing" necessary
to
fool TCP/IP into working over a long-latency link like that provided
by a satellite.
If this is done by external hardware, then you can take the IPCOP
route. If the spoofing is done by the PC/custom drivers, then it may
well be more trouble than it's worth - but you *may* be able to get
internet connection sharing working (this may require fiddling with
MTU packet sizes to get the best out of things)
If the PC requires an analogue modem for the uplink, and uses
satellite for the downlink then it's definitely more trouble than
it's worth.
One of those few instances where it might just be worth parting with
the cash...
