I wondered about doing that Ian. I did some further checks today and the
address given doesn't appear to be legitimate. The Post Code (KT7 NN) was
invalid and the address (Ewell Drive, Ewell) doesn't show up in any of the
mapping web sites.  In which case it was probably just malicious as it would
have been difficult (although not impossible) to bid for items and complete
the sale.

I think therefore I will consider this episode closed and vow to change my
passwords even more frequently than I do.

If he is in the UK, I'd think seriously about contacting the Police rather
than just his ISP, it's hard to see any legitimate reason for doing what he
did, and given that e-bay is a "real money" site, they may be interested.
