Neil

I'm replacing a consumer unit and there is no amp's on anything (that old).

Example - cooker on a ring main, when lights blow, the fuses trip. I have
worked back all the shite wiring, but now the CU is too small.

Normally fused at 63a unless it's been upgraded - What are you running
that'll require that sort of current!?

OOI, I always cut the seals as soon as I move in to a new house so that I
can easily upgrade the CU. If the supply Co complain, I claim it's been like
it since I moved in !!!

Cheers

(name witheld by request so elec co can't find me!!!) ;-)

  Hi group!

Does anyone know what the incoming spur is for a 1960's house?

  Cheers
