Re: [OT] Freeview Boxes

I bought the Pace box (the small silver one) for my girlfriend as a
xmas present.

-Advantages
Quick channel change
Small compact size

-Disadvantages
No UHF out - must use scart sockets only.
If you want to record both analogue and digital signals then you need
to get a couple of UHF patch leads and signal splitters (it is
explained in the manual)
Noticed that weak signals can be affected by heat dissipation from
the receiver sitting on a VCR or TV. Needed to move the box to a cool
area of the device it was sitting on.

Interactive services are now enabled and they all appear quick to use.

Conclusion : A good box for a bedroom, or for someone who needs a
easy no frills device.

Regards

Tom
