er... no, I'm using the latest version and it does stop popups, well
nearly all of them anyway.

You can also set up a list of banners and flash images that you wish
to block, this lists starts out blank and you have to add them
yourself.

Perhaps this is what you are thinking of?

If only it was just online retailers that use popups...
