      Hi All,

I've just joined this group as a newbie to home automation and all
that goes with it. My main objective was to open and close some
curtains but that has now spiralled since seeing all the
possibilities that are out there. This of course leads me to utter
confusion so please don't be too hard when I ask a question or two!
Nothing is bought or installed yet (apart from a Wi-Fi network) so
      all the planning starts here..............
