Thanks guys.
Yes - it seems that the Kustom amp is based on 5V IR signals - how
could
I tell for sure without a scope? Would a digital multimeter give an
accurate enough reading on the IR lines? (or should the IR output from
the wall controller be the same voltage as the supply voltage?)
What I want to do is take up to 6 IR outputs from the HomeVision
expansion board (which I have) and feed each one into each of the 6
zones of the custom amp (at the amp in node0 by connecting in
parallel).
This way I can directly 'inject' IR into the Kustom system without
having to fit an IR emitter (driven by HV) at each of the Kustom wall
controllers (the wall controller has an emitter and receiver built in).
As both Kustom and HV seem to use 5V, should I just try it without any
electronics? Given they're both 5V could I do any damage? Is all this
talk of transistors not needed as both systems run at 5V?
Unfortunately I don't have any diagrams of the Kustom system - I could
ask their tech support guys but I don't think they'd release anything.
Paul.

Hi Shane
Im
making assumptions.. that Paul is trying to get HV tx ir
signal onto some sort of tx bus on the Kustom system and that the
Kustom
system is 15v (misread this one... its actually the ocelet thats 15v )
....

3 zone amplifier ;-)) ?????
