Re: xBox - Get one NOW!

I must say that I was scared when I modded mine a few days ago, I can solde= r
but normally on veroboard.  I'd bought a small iron with a needle tip = for
adding the smd capacitor to the tivo turbonet card, so used this.  You= need
a solder sucker as well if you are going to try the xecuter mod.

It actually is very easy, as long as you have the third arm to hold the
board when you are sucking the solder out of the board where the pins go in= .
SWMBO did this for me, amid, "do you know what your doing?" "= ;if you break it
you'll be sad" and other nerve-racking comments.

The only hassle I had was that after the fitting the executer modchip I
forgot to put the dvd cable back in, so thought I had blown the box as you<= BR> get beeps and a light show from the led on the front.  Thankfully SWMB= O was
in bed by then.   After sorting that I had hassle finding a cdrw = to load the
software onto the xbox to get the ftp working.

Des helped me out with the cdrw clues..
