I Bought some el-cheapo extension kits with an in line bt socket (they
only cost about 80p each!)

The options where

a) spend another twenty quid on an RJ45 Crimp tool, chop the BT plug
off the end and crimp on RJ45 plugs

b) break down the sockets, unsolder the cable and re solder half of a
cat5 patch lead (I don't know about in line sockets in general but
these just had solder tags,  KRONE connectors would probably be too big
anyway)

I went for option b.
