Re: Re: Roombas cheap on letsautomate

Another solution. Rent the design to another makers, so they can produce th= e good in another parts of the world.

This is normal in some Home Appliances. And an European maker could produce= Roombas ( with another brand ) in Europe.

Regards.

  Pedro,

iRobot are a small American company. They are not a huge multination= al with
hundreds of millions of Euros to spend on mass-production.

They are outsourcing their production to China, and are in the posit= ion that
production can't keep up with demand in their home market. If they h= ave
supply issues in their home market, then the last thing they're goin= g to do
is to try to enter a separate, more complex and fragmented market.
The UK resellers, LA (LetsAutomate), Roomba.de, and us are all buyin= g
through US Resellers, because iRobot aren't prepared to talk to anyo= ne
directly. For the record, Roomba.de is a purely independant company,= who
have already got in trouble for using the name "Roomba" wi= thout permission.

  Regards,

  Mark
