Thats correct

Just read the manual and the retrigger only starts the timer IF the output
(group ?) in already on????????????

The pir is connnected to genesis and activates a script when it detects
movement ..The script activates an output  connected to  a realy...

The delay is due to the minimum resolution setting for turning genesis
outputs on /off etc is 1 second.

I seem to have it working with the following parameters

short press = start
short release = idle
long press = recall1
long release = idle
