Re: Ot " AutoCad" OT

Brian

I had a copy of a program called 'Chief Architect' that I used to use for floor plans.  I was very good, and you could very quickly create the floorplans for a house.  I used to use it to create dxf files to impor= t into
AutoCad.  I could produce floor plans in a matter of minutes that woul= d have
taken days to produce in AutoCad!  It did 3D as well.
Now, :o(  sorry -  I don't know where the disk is, and the progra= m is on a
computer I no longer use - but you could always try a search!

Regards

Simon

Thanks Steve and Paul,

Both Calum and Dave have offered to email the prog to me directly.

All I would like to do is be able to create a floor plan so I can detail th= e
locations of CAT5 etc.

It would be good if I could create a full 3D drawing but I think this is where the megga bucks come into play?

What are the cheap house design packages?

Thanks,

B.

Ah.. that's the 'other' one I've used.  It's not too bad except the sh= ortcut
commands are all different to AutoCad - it certainly was IMSI a few years ago, and was only =A330-40?

What about one of those cheap house design packages?

Steve
