I've not done any DV editing as the purchase of a suitable camcorder is on<= BR> hold until hell freezes over (or get I a new wife :-))

I Have done some editing of stuff I have ripped from the Tivo using Ulead software and while simple enough to use, it is painfully slow (P4 1.5Ghz 256Mb RAM). Didn't reckon much to the quality of the end result either, not=
compared with the quality of a Tivo rip converted to VCD just using TMPEG.<= BR>

Have you managed to DV edit on a PC? - is it fairly simple to do (I ask as = I
know SWMBO will want to do it, and she has limited patience - if it doesn't=
work everytime then its not worth doing :-)

was looking into this myself recently. Found this site
http://ww= w.edu.rcsed.ac.uk/buying%20a%20camcorder.htm which was quite
useful.

Dabs is good for looking at the specs of the various camcorders available.<= BR> There are a few <=A3500 that seem to have all the in/outs required.
