Re: UKHA 2003 - How about a Tivo Upgrade area : upgrade conditions

After reading the recent posts what do you think of the following
conditions for people wanting to have a new hard drive prepared for
Tivo installation:

1) User to supply new hard drive and bring along orignal hard drive
if they wish their Tivo settings to remain intact (season pass and
configuration info)

2) If the Tivo owner wishes to copy their Tivo settings from the old
to the new hard drive then they must delete all TV recordings from
originial hard drive prior to the upgrade process

2) The new hard drive will have the original Tivo settings restored
and be configured ready for installation back into the Tivo.

4) Only the new hard drive can be re-installed into the Tivo. The
original hard drive is free for another purpose (or kept as a backup!)

5) No liability on the person(s) involved with the upgrade process if
either the new hard drive, original Tivo hard drive or the Tivo
becomes faulty.

6) Tivo owner understands that they may void the waranty of their
Tivo by openening the Tivo case.
