My kenwood tft arrived on Friday.
It is 4x3 aspect ratio. Not bad picture, usual lcd issues of viewing angle.
It gets quite warm (heat from backlight), so maybe it will keep itself
demisted!!
No remote control and menu is accessed by membrane buttons on rear so a bit
fiddly.

Fortunately it has a physical on/off switch so no problem turning it on/off
by removing the power. I will probably plug its mains adaptor block into an
X10 appliance switch to allow it to be turned on and off remotely.

I now need to drive it from something...
I have Mac's at home and realise that it will be pricey to get tv out,
(will need to dedicate a machine and get an adaptor)
I guess I need a pc to read jpg and mp3 and squirt them to the lcd.
Maybe I could run linux on a basic pc with sound card and tv out graphics
card. This could sit under the stairs.

Any suggestions for hardware / software?
Or has anyone got an old pc that fits the bill that they want to swap for
some drinking vouchers?

Martin
