RE: Fw: Comfort LCD

I found Comfort a breeze. It was tricky when programming it using the
keypad, easier when I bought a UCM and started using the software. Now
with Comfigator it is as easy as Homeseer. I don't have a large setup
but I find the combination of things I can do with Comfort and Homeseer
are great. It is nice to have feedback to Homeseer using Patrick
Lidstones Plugin (any more updates??).
For example; I have a camera pointed at the front door. I set a flag in
Comfort called 'Dark' when it is sunset. I have a response based on the
doorbell (normal doorbell wired to Comfort) being pressed. When the
doorbell is pressed it sends an X10 signal (which is for other stuff I
get Homeseer to do [voice, email etc]) Comfort also checks to see if it
is dark, If so then send an IR signal to the TV to change channels for
10 secs so we can see who is at the door. Only limitation is me!!
I know Homevision can do all that stuff too but it is very expensive and
is not an alarm!!

Michael

Ps Gareth, I have never read a manual in my life, well not BEFORE
installing/using the item! <G>
