Yes - for normal, run-of-the-mill kit, transfer both ways is in real
time.

Oh, I had assumed that DV transfer was not in realtime, so when you
want
to
transfer a tape into the system, is it in real time too?
( I havn't installed my firewire card yet to have a play)
