It's been around for a while.  I've done a few tests, but I'm still unsure
as to whether it really does do what it says on the tin.  I plan to get a
few up and running for tests at some point.  Our attempts at testing it
resulted in 4 people turning up, and only two laptops being capable of
booting it - one having a dead battery!

This is the bit that interests me.  I've heard nothing of this Oftel thing
abotu sharing home broad/baseband.  It's against the T&Cs of most ISPs.

That doesn't mean that you'll get 2048kbps from 4 512kbps links though.
You'll just get 512kbps for any 4 people.

It's great for extending broadband.  You can get a number of them in a line
repeating the signal as far as you like.  You can even have a go with solar
power if you like!
